1. About the Service

Tokkly is an AI-powered language learning service for English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. It offers conversations with an AI tutor, pronunciation scoring, lessons, vocabulary and grammar practice, and translation and interpretation. All practice is one-on-one with the AI; Tokkly does not provide any live connection between users.

Tokkly is operated by an individual. Paid transactions are handled by Dodo Payments Inc. ("Dodo Payments") acting as the Merchant of Record; Dodo Payments also issues receipts and handles applicable taxes.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. Each person may use only one account and may not share or transfer it to others.

For security, an account can stay signed in on only one device at a time (signing in elsewhere logs out the previous device).

You must not provide false account information or impersonate others.

3. Paid Services (subscriptions & passes)

The Service can be used for free, with daily usage limits on some AI features. A premium subscription or a pass removes those limits.

Prices and plan contents are as shown on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, and subscriptions renew and are charged automatically each billing cycle until you cancel.

4. Your Responsibilities

You must not: break the law; infringe others’ rights (including intellectual property or reputation); post abusive, hateful, or unlawful content; disrupt the Service; use automated tools for abnormal bulk usage; or reverse-engineer or copy the Service without authorization.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

All content in the Service — lessons, questions, design, logos — is owned by the operator or its rightful owners. You may not copy, distribute, or sell it beyond personal, non-commercial learning use.

Content you create or record while learning belongs to you. The operator uses it only as needed to provide the Service (e.g., pronunciation scoring, saving your progress) and to improve it.

6. Notice on AI-Generated Content

Tutor replies, translations, pronunciation scores, and explanations are generated or graded automatically by AI and are provided as learning aids. They may not always be accurate, so do not rely on them for important decisions.

7. Changes to or Discontinuation of the Service

The operator may improve or change the Service and, where unavoidable, suspend all or part of it. Changes that materially disadvantage paying users will be announced in advance.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the Service, except for damages caused by the operator’s intent or gross negligence.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated. Updates will be posted on this page with an effective date, and material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.

10. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We aim to resolve any questions or disputes amicably through our contact channel first.
